There were a couple of swollen lymph nodes, one borderline, but once Dr. Crane looked at the back of my sinuses (conveniently exposed for his perusal) he said, "Oh my gosh! You have a lot of goop in there, for sure. Y'know what'll fix that up, is a Solumedrol Dose-Pak. . . "
(glances over at my face)
". . . . or not. Um. . .you don't like Medrol?"
"It makes me want to hug people."
"It makes you want to hug people. . . .?"
"Until they stop breathing."
The swollen lymph nodes are a reaction, apparently, to the horrid allergy season that's hit us this year.
My next scan is an MRI in four months. Wahoo!

Thank God, the CT of your chest was *N.E.G.A.T.I.V.E.*!! I'm just way-beyond-happy for you-~~~(and so, so grateful, too!!)~~~that it WAS negative!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, (*exhaling*)............
I know there's not a lot of knowledge/research about polymorphous adenocarcinoma because "the numbers" of those diagnosed are (relatively) very low............ (i.e., as you noted in your 10/8/10 blogpost, only about 400 people get polymorphous adenocarcinoma every year)............ but is there maybe any anecdotal medical evidence which might indicate, say, that the greater number of *years* your CT Scans and MRIs (of the chest) are negative............ that the odds, then, of being diagnosed with m.e.t.a.s.t.a.t.i.c. polymorphous adenocarcinoma *decrease*?? Maybe a really NIFTY Inverse Relationship that would, hopefully, be in YOUR favor?? (I sincerely hope that my askin' isn't being too "nosy" and/or that it comes-off-as being crass either, Jo!!)
Anyway, 'time now for YOU; (and for all of your minions, too, haha!!)............ to............ *C.*E.*L.*E.*B.*R.*A.*T.*E.* this very Good News of your negative CT Scan!!
I share your allergy pain. Years of shots still haven't dulled my reddened eyes.
You know it's a horrible allergy season when the pharmacy runs out of your regular nose spray.

Congratulations for passing your chest exam. I can sympathize. I had surgery for a sarcoma in my right lung last year. I also had a clean CT scan this year. The Surgeon called my day of surgery my birthday. So I have just had my first cancer birthday. Allergies are a problem too. I live in an allergy mecca.
Living with cancer is a courageous day at a time thing.
