That you send your best wishes to Nurse Ames, who has spent thousands of minutes waiting for me to get done with yet another damn scan and driving me back and forth to said damn scans, tomorrow. She's having her stapes replaced with a titanium replica and her eardrum repaired in some way that I don't understand, starting about 2:30 pip emma central time.
What the hell do I know? I do strokes. All I know is that she's a little anxious, and so am I.
Prayers, hip-shakingks, om-sayings, and capybara-snuffles would all be appreciated.
As for me, I'm getting started on soup right now.
Hope all goes well...will call out the prayer cavalry.
ReplyDeleteDo you get to drive HER now?
Good luck!
I am saying a prayer for Nurse Ames. Here's hoping God still hears the prayers of a reprobate rebel like me.
ReplyDeleteSending the caybara-snuffles and tons of good vibes for Nurse Ames ~
ReplyDeleteAnd to you, for being such a great friend ~
I'm snuffling for Nurse Ames. Ears are so important. I hope it goes well for her.
ReplyDeletePlease keep up updated on how she is doing. My daughter had a cholesteatoma and her stapes removed last year with grafting of her ear drum. Went back in on Monday to replace her stapes and found another cholesteatoma, so we are back to square one. She is recovering like a champ! Hope they find no surprises and all goes well.
ReplyDeleteYes, i will gladly pray for Nurse Ames.
ReplyDeleteA friend of yours is a friend of mine- best wishes and happy thoughts sent. I took care of a lady who had that surgery a couple years before I met her- she was thrilled with the results.
ReplyDelete'Just got back into town, so I hope and pray that poor Nurse Ames is now *healing* after her surgery............ i.e., having the ability to hear is just so, so precious!!
ReplyDeleteI'll never forget that those who are BOTH blind and deaf usually say they'd rather............ *if* they had any choice about the matter, that is............ get their HEARING back someday, i.e., more than their SIGHT back someday, (which really surprised me when I learned this years ago!!)
I'm so sorry I missed this...I hope she's doing well. In addition to Donna's "reprobate rebel" label I need to add "hopelessly tardy". Prayers all around!
ReplyDeleteBionic ear = awesome. Surgery != awesome. Sending love and white light for good results and painless healing.
ReplyDeletegood thoughts ascending. hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteLet us know how she does.
ReplyDeleteAnd remind her that "Titanium Stapes" is a fantastic name for a band.
I hope all goes well with the op, best of wishes.
ReplyDeleteMay we have an update?
